Carmelo Anthony puts up 50 points against Knicks

Carmelo Anthony put up 50 points tonight against the New York Knicks as the Nuggets won 128-125. Wow, Happy Thanksgiving! Anthony said after the game, "About time, you've got to be thankful for something on Thanksgiving!"

Ha well said. For a team like the Knicks, who are now on a 4 game losing streak, there was a valiant effort against a very good Nuggets team. Al Harrington scored 41 points, Derek Lee had 23, and Larry Hughes had 16. Pretty good game for New York.

However, Anthony and Chauncey Billups played excellent basketball. Billups had 32. J.R. Smith had 17. These three Nugs were the only Denver players in double digit scoring of the total 128 points.

The Knicks are 3-13 and played much better than their record indicated. I'm sure that they are looking forward to a possible LeBron James in the next season to join their squad. Mike D'Antoni is a great coach.

Congratulations to Kenyon Martin and N. Nene for their 11 total rebounds, both with 9 on the defensive side. That's awesome. Good job George Karl.

The Nuggets play the Minnesota Timberwolves tomorrow.

Go Nuggets.
